Prayer Tip: Receive God’s Blessings

Did you know that God is EAGER to bless you?  Meditate (think unhurried, prolonged, focused and with a will to understand and obey) on Isaiah 30:18.

“Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him.”

What’s the difference between longing for Him and just wanting His blessings/gifts?  God doesn’t just give good gifts, He gives us Himself!

And consider:

Psalm 31:19, “How great is Thy goodness, Which Thou hast stored up for those who fear Thee, Which Thou hast wrought for those who take refuge in Thee, Before the sons of men!”

Ok, how do we receive those blessings?

Call to Him:

Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Ask Him for them:

Matthew 7:11 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

Believe He most certainly rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Heb. 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

And all the while give Him praise and thanksgiving!  He is worthy!

Phil. 4:6  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
